August Prayer

Father, as we continue to struggle to find our way through the difficulties of this pandemic amid all the other complications and difficulties of life we ask that you make us always remember your generosity and that nothing is more important than faithfully doing your will.

Guide us as we anticipate sending our children back to school and give us the wisdom to provide for safe and sound learning environments where they can grow and flourish.

Help those who are struggling to return to everyday work that provides a good wage and will sustain a quality and honorable way of life.

Save our communities from confusion, discord, and violence and each of us from pride and arrogance.

Help us find new ways to communicate and resolve our differences where possible and learn to live in love and peace with those whom we disagree.

Soften and purify our hearts and open our minds to your truth in all things so that we may encourage each other in pursuing your ways and your answers to the issues and problems that confront our culture and society.

We pray that in everything we say and do the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord is proclaimed to the world and all things are and will be restored in Him.

In Christ’s Holy Name. Amen.
